I enjoyed this story very much. In fact, there are only a couple of reasons I can't give this book 5 stars. You see, in the first book - Pray - the author introduced a young couple - Lee and Lindsey Erickson. These characters were well developed and well written. When beginning Hell, I immediately discovered Lindsey's husband's name had changed from Lee to Eric!! At first I thought I was mistaken - so I went back to Pray and found where they were brought into the story and sure enough, her husband's name was Lee. Someone's editor must have been asleep at the wheel not to notice this! I moved on past this and continue reading - after all, it is a good story. I held out hope that the dialog for the character Nettie wouldn't continue to be written as if she were a cartoon version of an uneducated slave as was the case in Pray - and I was disappointed. Nettie's dialog adds nothing to the story line and actually distracts from the flow of the story being told. Nettie's character is written as a compassionate, caring person who tries her best to nurture through cooking and love - but her dialog is atrocious and completely distracts from the flow. I do look forward to the 3rd book in this series and have been disappointed to be unable to find the sequel. Just 2 complaints - changing a character's name and the dialog for another - kept this from being a 5 star review.Product details

Hell The Revelation Chronicles Book 2 eBook John Prescott Serenity Banks Reviews
Although I really liked this book and read it immediately after reading Pray, the first in the Trilogy. I was a little dismayed that the editor did not catch the incorrect name written throughout the entire book. In the beginning, the book kept mentioning Eric and I thought "oh, someone new has joined the group". But, that was not the case. It took several chapters before it became clear that Eric, was actually named Lee in the first book. Quite a big thing to overlook.
Regardless, it is a good book. A lot of detail which helps the reader imagine exactly what the author was thinking. Well worth the purchase price!
I Read Pray by this author and it wasn't bad.......not great but not bad. I should have realized in the first book the first hint of werewolves would only get worse.........I guess some people buy into this stuff but it just got plain silly and gory........really not end time happenings just someone's imagination out of control. I couldn't finish it....seemed like a waste of time.
I thought pray was very impressive but hell was even better then pray I fell in love with all the main characters and mourned when some died these two books had quite an impact on me I loved both books and when I started each book I couldn't stop reading until I finished. It really makes you think about things that may happen and my religions belief I would be one to follow God and pray for the best I can't wait to read the third book. I have recommended your books to all my friends and they are looking forward to reading them. Thanks again for writing these book and will continue to look for all your books.
The events are set forth from the Word of God. But, some of the characters and evil forces are a little disconcerting. I don't believe there are man/angels walking the earth nor do I believe in Vampires or Werewolves. But the story is compelling and the evil that is unleashed after the "Rapture" of the believers in Christ is real. What God has in store for those left behind is still, in the most part, a mystery to us all. Those evil characters, in a fictional roll in this book made for intense reading. I would recommend John Prescott's trilogy for a futuristic scary thriller to keep you turning pages well into the night, with the lights on!
I was not disappointed when I purchased Pray and couldn't wait for Hell to make an appearance. Much more intense than Left Behind Series and I loved them. Mr. Prescott you have done an admirable job of hooking readers with your story. I was surprised when I read the reviews with only 1, 2, or 3 stars. These people givng low stars must not live in the real world if they are offended by language that we can hear in the super market for crying out loud. Revelations is not a nice little fairy tale, nor should it be told like one. Go where your heart and head are leading you on this Mr. Prescott and you will continue to enlarge your reading audience. Now get back to work and give me the third book in this series! Please.
This book was another end time page turner. My only problem was the stereo types Nettie the Black woman was more like Mammy in " Gone with the Wind" . This 2016 even in your book . I believe the Black and Brown races have moved pass Mammy . We also have intellectuals in our races. Many many Black and Brown people hold patents in many facets of our society scientists, teachers, doctors, lawyers , in all ways so for U to only think to use a mammy like character is offensive.
Read this book and assumed it was a trilogy boy was I shocked when I reached the end that there isn't another book to follow this. It was written 3 years ago and the next book isn't available. After all that time with the characters it felt like I wasted my time, I was disappointed to say the least. I had raved about the first book and brought readers along with me for the ride. I tried to research online if/when the next book would come out and the links to the authors website lead on a wild goose chase. Other than the fact that I was left hanging in a major way the book was great, I cried at some parts when key characters went home to their almighty Father. I did enjoy the read but I'm beyond disappointed that this story wasn't completed.
